The Geodetic effect is the exact analog of Thomas precession in electromagnetism, where the rest frame electron experiences an induced magnetic field due to the apparent motion of the nucleus. This spin-orbit interaction accounts for 1/3 of the total geodetic precession.  The remaining 2/3 is due to space curvature alone, which could be the frame dependent related gravito-electric analog, and the gravity wave.  Frame-dragging effects arise due to spin-spin interactions of a magnetic dipole U  with a magnetic field B  which is the basis of nuclear magnetic resonance or MRI.  Just as a torque U x B acts in the magnetic case, so a gyroscope with spin s experiences a torque proportional to s x H in the gravitational case.   http://abstracting-science.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
